true american experience.
had a funny conversation the other day. Firstly let me say I have become a true american. No, I don't have citizenship and I haven't been on a reality tv show... but I have sold something on ebay. And made a modest profit. YAY.
So, well chuffed with that, I was talking to people about it, and the joke arose that we could sell bj on ebay, and what would he get (bj is our 5 year old son) and all of a sudden tears came to my eyes, and not even in the blandest of jests could I contemplate life without him. Not for a million, not for 50 million. Seriously, if a genie came down and said, I will give you 50 million dollars (and thin thighs, lets make this really tempting) all in exchange for you son, who will go on to live with people who want him and will love him, it's still no sale. I can't imagine what life would really be like with that much money, but I know that it would poor without bj. And that was interesting, because I wasn't thinking about how much do I value him in my life, or what monetary worth does he have, but it was so clear that life without him is not worth it to me.
And then I thought of selling my husband (to a kind home) and him I could let go...
ah well...
stranger, getting stranger by the moment, but still able to laugh at herself.
by the way, I have started posting on delphi forums, especially the romance boards. You can keep an eye out for me there if you wish. I post under amf0001.

hey, I'm back
all is well. loved the snow in ny, wasn't that exciting! but hate the puddles, you can't cross the roads here now without getting ankle deep in icy sludge. not a good look.
I love ny, isnt' that ironic, and am very happy to be back. actually missed it while we were away. I haven't quite figured out what i'm going to do here, but definitely glad to be back on my own turf again.
have had all sorts of thoughts about all sorts of things. the good news is that i've stopped hating my husband (always helps!) and taken some more responsibility for my own happiness. Thinking interesting thoughts. I'll share some more with you soon. Hope all is well in your lives and thank you for your support and interest. Helps anchor me, really it does.
